Designing for Environmental Good

I use graphic design and digital campaigns to make engagement with environmental issues inviting and accessible. My work tackles climate change through the lenses of rainforests, the ocean, and the intersection of climate change and labor.

Our Work/Environment

There is a notable lack of awareness of how climate change and labor issues overlap. The visual identity of the Pulitzer Center’s Our Work/Environment initiative is inspired by the people and for the people by using layers of color to bring together multiple “actors” to create one new transitive movement.

The Ocean Reporting Network

Circular themes like life cycles, circular economies, and renewable energy make up the brand identity of the Pulitzer Center’s Ocean Reporting Network. This initiative’s visuals represent the collaborative nature of the network, the cross-border approach to ocean management, and natural life cycles of ocean life and ecosystems.

The Rainforest Investigations Network

The Pulitzer Center’s Rainforest Investigations Network was born out of the innovative idea of having journalists from across the world combine resources and work together to uncover environmental degradation and crime within the world’s rainforests. This initiative’s visual identity peels back these layers of truth and highlights the collaborative nature of the investigations.

The Rainforest Journalism Fund

The rainforests in three key regions in the world—the Amazon, Congo Basin, and Southeast Asia—all have distinct identities, flora and fauna, and native people. This brand strives to highlight the individuality of each region while still uniting the three arms of the initiative under the Pulitzer Center’s Rainforest Journalism Fund.
